This Privacy Notice explains how Rogue Runner Ltd collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, and sets out your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please read it carefully. Last updated July 2026.

Who we are

Rogue Runner Ltd (“Rogue Runner”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a production company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

The personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact and enquiry data — your name, email address, and the content of any correspondence when you contact us or submit an enquiry.
• Submission data — information contained in pitches, scripts, treatments or other material you send us for consideration.
• Recruitment and collaboration data — details you provide if you apply to work with us or join a production, such as your CV, experience and references.
• Technical and usage data — your IP address, browser type, device information and how you use this website, collected via strictly necessary cookies and standard server logs (see our Cookies Notice).

How we collect it

We collect personal data directly from you when you contact us, submit material, or apply to work with us; automatically when you use this website; and occasionally from third parties such as agents, collaborators or public sources where relevant to a project.

Why we use your data, and our lawful bases

We process personal data on the following lawful bases under Article 6 of the UK GDPR:

• Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, evaluate submissions, develop and produce projects, and run and secure our business, where our interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Contract — to enter into and perform agreements with contributors, cast, crew, collaborators and suppliers.
• Legal obligation — to comply with our accounting, tax, employment and other legal duties.
• Consent — where you have given it, for example to receive particular communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

• our sister companies, CineMe and CineArk, where necessary to develop or deliver a project you are involved with;
• broadcasters, distributors, financiers and production partners connected to a project;
• service providers who process data on our behalf (for example IT, hosting and professional advisers), under written agreements; and
• regulators, authorities or law enforcement where we are required to do so by law.

International transfers

Our productions and partners are international, so your data may be transferred outside the UK. Where it is, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Unsolicited submissions we do not take forward are deleted in the normal course of business.

How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and we limit access to those who need it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• access a copy of your personal data;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
• restrict or object to our processing;
• request portability of data you provided to us; and
• withdraw consent where processing is based on it.

Children

This website and our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 without appropriate consent.

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve them. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
