roguerunner began life as the portfolio site for writer/Director Dan Hartley and has grown to become a multi-award winning production company encompassing scripted and factual with a global, premium outlook. We have offices in London and Buckinghamshire

After graduating from Newcastle University with a 2:1 law degree, Dan started out as a runner before taking the role as a video assist operator on Harry Potter & The Philospher’s Stone.
Over the subsequent decade Dan was instrumental in the growth of on-set editing and was responsible for first cut of many of the key action sequences across the Harry Potter films and later on Star Wars, Marvel films and many others, working closely with Ridley Scott, Ron Howard and Rian Johnson to name a few.
Alongside his work as a video operator Dan cut his teeth as a director with BAFTA nominated short film Love You, Joseff Hughes, multi-award winning feature film Lad: A Yorkshire Story and more recently the worldwide critically acclaimed HBO/Sky feature documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived with executive producer Daniel Radcliffe and produced by Simon Chinn and Jonathan Chinn.
Dan is a father of two and lives in Buckinghamshire.
